Terms of service
Last updated 16 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between Asiko (“we”, “us”) and the organisation or person using Asiko (“you”). If you accept them for an organisation, you confirm you are allowed to bind it. Please also read our privacy notice.
1. The service
Asiko is online software for recruiting and HR: jobs and applications, AI-assisted screening, candidate messaging, employee records, leave, attendance, payroll, performance and related tools (the “service”). We may improve and change the service. If we remove something you pay for in a way that materially reduces it, we will tell you first and you may end your plan with a pro-rata refund of what you have prepaid.
2. Accounts
- Give accurate details and keep them up to date.
- Keep sign-in details safe; you are responsible for what happens in your workspace. Tell us at once if you think an account has been misused.
- You decide who in your organisation has access and what each person can see.
3. Free trial
A new workspace gets a 7-day free trial with the limits of our Growth plan. No card is needed. When the trial ends, the workspace moves to the Free plan’s limits unless you buy a plan. We do not delete your data because a trial ended. We may change or end trial offers for new workspaces at any time.
4. Plans, fees and payment
- Prices are on our pricing page in Nigerian naira, or in a quote we give you in writing.
- Fees are paid in advance for one month or one year, through our payment provider or by bank transfer against our invoice. Unless a quote says otherwise, fees are exclusive of VAT and other taxes, which we add where the law requires.
- Plans do not renew automatically today. If we introduce automatic renewal, we will ask you to agree to it first.
- We will not raise the price of a period you have already paid for. New prices apply from your next payment, and we will give you at least 30 days’ notice.
- Paid plans are priced per user with a minimum of 50 users, counted from your staff list when you pay. Usage beyond your plan’s allowances (for example AI screens) is charged at the published rates when you ask for it.
- If a payment fails or is reversed, we may move the workspace to the Free plan’s limits until it is settled.
5. Refunds
- Monthly plans are not refundable once the month has started, because the free trial lets you try the service first.
- Annual plans: if you ask within 14 days of paying, we refund the payment less the months started, charged at the monthly price.
- Courses and the CV & LinkedIn service: if you ask within 7 days of buying and have not opened paid lessons or used a review, we refund in full.
- CV revamp: if you ask before we have emailed your revamped CV, we refund in full. After it is sent, tell us within 7 days if something is wrong and we will correct it.
- If you were charged in error, or the service was unavailable for a long period because of our fault, tell us and we will put it right, including by refund.
- Refunds go back to the original payment method. Email hello@asikohr.com. Nothing here limits rights you have under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act.
6. Acceptable use
You must not use Asiko to:
- break the law, including employment, data protection and anti-discrimination law — for example rejecting candidates because of ethnic group, religion, sex, disability or any other ground the law protects;
- send messages people have not agreed to receive, or break WhatsApp’s or any channel’s rules;
- upload data you have no right to use, malicious code, or content that is unlawful, fraudulent or abusive — including fake job adverts or charging candidates to apply;
- try to get into other customers’ data, test our security without written permission, overload the service, scrape it, or copy or resell it;
- open several free workspaces to avoid plan limits, or share one paid seat between people.
We may suspend access that breaks these rules or puts others at risk. Where we can, we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix it.
7. Your data
- You own the data you and your candidates and staff put into Asiko (“customer data”). You are its data controller and are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect it and for telling people how you use it.
- We process customer data only to provide the service and as you instruct, keep it confidential, protect it with appropriate security, use only providers bound to the same duties, help you answer data-subject requests, and tell you without undue delay about a breach affecting it. These commitments are our data processing terms, and the privacy notice lists our providers.
- While your workspace is open you can download reports from the app or ask us for a full export of your data. After it is closed we delete or return customer data within 90 days, unless the law requires us to keep it.
- We may use anonymised, aggregated information about how the service is used to run and improve it. It will not identify you, your organisation or any person.
Questions about data: privacy@asikohr.com.
8. AI features
- AI features — screening, CV reading, drafting, the assistant, the CV & LinkedIn review and the first draft of a CV revamp — produce suggestions. A CV revamp is checked and finished by a person before it is sent. They can be incomplete or wrong.
- AI is advisory. It does not reject candidates, issue payslips or make employment decisions. You remain responsible for every hiring and employment decision and should review AI output before relying on it.
- AI output is not legal, tax or immigration advice.
9. Payroll and statutory figures
Payroll calculations use fixed, tested rules for Nigerian PAYE, pension, NHF, NSITF and ITF, not AI. Laws and your facts change, so you must review each payroll run before approving it and remain responsible for paying staff and making statutory remittances and filings on time.
10. Support and availability
We aim to keep the service available at all times, but it may be interrupted for maintenance or by events outside our control. Support hours and response targets are on our help page. A guaranteed service level applies only if it is in a signed agreement with you.
11. Our intellectual property
The service, its software and content belong to us or our licensors. We give you a right to use it for your organisation’s internal purposes while you have an active workspace. If you send us suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.
12. Ending the agreement
You can stop using Asiko and close your workspace at any time. We can end the agreement with 30 days’ notice, or at once if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms or the law. If we end it without cause, we refund what you prepaid for the unused period.
13. Warranties and liability
- We will provide the service with reasonable skill and care. Apart from that, it is provided “as is” to the extent the law allows.
- Neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue or goodwill.
- Our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in those 12 months. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud.
- You will be responsible for claims against us that arise from customer data you had no right to use or from your breach of section 6.
14. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We will first try to settle any dispute by talking for 30 days. If that fails, it will be settled by arbitration in Lagos under the Arbitration and Mediation Act 2023, by one arbitrator, in English. Either of us may still ask a court for urgent relief.
15. Changes and contact
We may update these terms. For material changes we will give at least 30 days’ notice in the app or by email; continuing to use Asiko after that means you accept them. Contact: hello@asikohr.com.
